Agnipath yojana is a social program of the Ministry of Military Affairs of the MoD, within the framework of which strict military training will be provided to youth aged 17.5 to 23 who meet other educational, physical and health criteria who want to be part of the armed forces. Selected candidates will be inducted as 'Agniveers' for a period of four years, on completion of which 25% of Agniveers will be inducted into the armed forces as regular cadre.
Agnipath Yojana aims to improve combat readiness
through transformative evolution with an energetic, fitter, diverse, trainable
and resilient youth fit for changing dynamics. Agnipath Yojana will strengthen the power, discipline and skills of the
youth with a military ethos. 46,000 Agniveers are planned to be recruited.
Exclusion:
The
scheme is applicable at soldier (jawan) level and not at officer level.
Required document:

6.
Scanned passport size photograph of 10 Kb to 20 Kb in jpg format. This photo
will be uploaded to the application.
7.
Scanned photo of signature of size 5 Kb to 10 Kb in jpg format. This photo will
be uploaded to the application.

Domicile certificate

Applicants will have to submit a written undertaking that they have not been
involved in violent protests against the Agnipath scheme.
Benefits of Agnipath Yojana:
1.
The combined annual financial package will amount to approx. ₹ 4,76,000 for 1st
year upgradable to approx. ₹ 6,92,000 for the 4th year.
2.
Risk and hardship allowance will be provided to the candidates.
3.
The scheme offers disability compensation i.e. one time ex-gratia of ₹
44,00,000/25,00,000/15,00,000 for 100%/75%/50% disability.
4.
The scheme also offers death benefit i.e. non-contributory life insurance of ₹
48,00,000, additional ₹ 44,00,000 per death attributable to service. Pay for
unserved portions for up to four years inclusive of 'Seva Nidhi' component.
5.
The Department of Education will recognize further education received by
Agniveers as credits towards their graduation. Under IGNOU's specially designed
degree programme, further education will count for 50% of the credit, with the
remainder coming from a selected basket of courses.The program provides
multiple entry and exit points with relevant certification at each level. The
degree awarded by IGNOU has recognition in India and abroad for employment and
education.
6.
“Seva Nidhi” Package, the candidate will be given a corpus of ₹ 10,04,000
(Income Tax Exempt) after four years. In this package, the candidate has to
contribute 30% of the benefits, the same amount will be matched and provided by
the government:

1.
Applicant must be a citizen of India.
2.
For admission in 2022, the age of the applicant must be between 17.5 and 23
years. For further collections, the age of the applicant must be between 17.5
and 21 years.
3. Applicant
must meet educational qualification, physical and health standards set by
Indian Army / Indian Navy / Indian Air Force.
👉Educational Qualification (Indian Navy):
For
Agniveer SSR applicant should be qualified in 10+2 examination in Mathematics,
Physics and atleast one of the following subjects: Chemistry/Biology/Computer
Science from Education Board recognized by Ministry of Education, Govt. India.
For
Agniveer MR, applicant should have passed Matriculation Examination from Board
of School Education recognized by Ministry of Education, Govt. India.
👉The application process:
1.
Candidates will be accepted according to the existing pattern of selection into
the armed forces.
2.
Selected candidates will undergo training for six months and then be inducted
for three and a half years. to be prepared to join the armed forces as
professionals.
**Selected
candidates (Agniveers) can also apply as volunteers in regular cadre.
👉Indian Naval Forces – Naval Command to issue broad recruitment guidelines by 25
June 2022. The first group of recruits will join the training program by
November 21, 2022.
👉Indian Air Force – Indian Air Force will start the registration process under
Agnipath scheme on 24th June 2022. The online exam process is scheduled to
start on 24th July 2022.
👉Indian Army – Army
will issue a draft notification on 20 June 2022 and subsequent notifications
will be issued by various recruitment units of the force from 1 July 2022
onwards. Agnipath recruitment rallies will be held across India in August, September
and October. The first batch of 25,000 employees will join the training program
in the first and second week of December. The second batch of recruits will
join training on February 23, 2022 (tentative). A total of 83 recruitment
rallies will be held across the country to select approximately 40,000
employees.
